Pounding The Pavement Recap

From East Coast to West Coast from North to South to Alaska and Italy, our Virtual 9th Annual Pounding the Pavement for Pink was beyond our expectations!
What the pandemic has taken from us, in so many ways can never be replaced, BUT along the way there have been silver linings; moments, opportunities, for us to come together in spirit and in hope!
This year’s Pounding the Pavement for Pink truly exemplifies that SPIRIT and HOPE!
The photos and videos of what took place over this last four-day weekend is beyond imagination!
In every photo, in every video, you can FEEL the sense of togetherness! You can SEE the hope and the spirit of our great community, of our great country!
Going virtual may sound like an easy decision, but it wasn’t!
Even more difficult was planning for it! Seymour Pink has always been blessed with an abundance of dedicated, committed volunteers.
This year’s virtual Pounding the Pavement for Pink committee made it happen! I want to personally think Dawn Supranovich! Without her incredible leadership, sense of calm and commitment to our community, none of this would’ve happened.
Also on our committee was Kathy Supranovich who was there for us, bringing us her Disney magic whenever we needed something special done.
Chris Adamo who gave us a safe place to meet and plan this entire event.
Trudy Ginsburg my media director, who covered so many of the team events planned over these last 4 days!
Lastly, Christine Conroy who came on board this year and made the virtual REAL!
She was there every minute of every hour of every day making sure that everything went smoothly and if they were bumps in the road, she fixed them. She brought a wealth of experience from her running in so many race events, her graphic expertise and her love of serving the community!
This year’s RACE DIRECTOR award went to Christine for her pivotal role in making the 9th Annual such an overwhelming success!
Of course my entire family’s support and encouragement is priceless to me! So big THANK YOU My husband Bruce and my sister in law, Carol for covering over these last few weeks!
I am so grateful to this entire committee for making this event so so successful!
But truthfully none of this happens without all of YOU!
I was so moved by the enthusiasm and the energy and the hours you all invested in planning, basically, your own pounding the pavement In your backyard. Each of you became race directors as you set up your own events and made it fun and brought such joy to so many! YOU DID THAT!
So the 9th Annual is in the books…. but all that it brought to our community, lives on!
….looking forward to next year’s 10th!❤️
With a heart full of gratitude,
From All of us at Seymour Pink and the PPP committee
