Teams

As in past years, Seymour Pink will be recognizing and encouraging the formation of teams. The support, encouragement enthusiasm and excitement teams bring to a 5K are immeasurable. Form a team of friends, families, co workers and experience the 5K in heightened level of participation. Team registration packets are available by contacting Mary Deming at 203-668-3170 or through e-mail at mdeming@seymourpink.com. The deadline to start a team is September 1st.

Celebrate Survivors

Stop by the Breast Cancer Survivor Tent and pick up a special gift for you and some breakfast. The Survivior Tent will be open from 8:00 am until 10:15am. RSVP on your race entry form.

Bib Pickup

Shirt/Bib pick up will be on Sunday Oct 1st from 8am-4pm and Monday Oct 2nd from 8am – 4pm at Seymour Community Center. This is located at 20 Pine Street in Seymour.
Click here for directions.  If you are a TEAM CAPTAIN, you must pick up your entire team’s package.  If you are not on a team, you must pick up your own shirt/bib on October 1st, October 2nd or on the morning of the 5k at the Info/Preregistration Booth

The following age groups are for both females and males: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and up.

Race Day

Parking

Limited parking will be available in downtown Seymour. In order to help the town with the flow of traffic, drop-offs and carpooling are encouraged.

Shuttle Information

Shuttle routes, times and some locations have changed this year.
Shuttles, donated by All Star Transportation, will run from Seymour Bungay School and Chatfield-LoPresti School to the Seymour Community Center. Shuttle service will start at 7am.  The last shuttle TO the course will leave the schools at 8:20am.  Both locations will drop off at the corner of Broad and Main Streets.  Shuttles will start up again at 10:20am and will run until Noon.

Schedule

7:00 am – Sponsor tents open for race participants and spectators. Team Village also opens for teams to assemble and for team photos.  Last minute Bib and T-shirt pick up is available at the information booth.

8:00am – Survivor breakfast begins

8:15am – Kid’s Race

8:35am – Warm-up with Peak Fitness

8:50am – Honor Guard and National Anthem

9:00am – 5k run/walk

approx. 10:30am – Awards and Closing Ceremony

On the day of the race, we will be selling raffle tickets for a very special item. Our 5th Anniversary SEYMOUR PINK quilt handmade by Natalie Moir… wait until you see it, tickets are $5 each.
