Pounding The Pavement For Pink
In 2012, Seymour Tradition – a nonprofit organization in our town, whose focus is on teaching young girls the values of sportsmanship teamwork and discipline, asked Seymour Pink, Inc. if we would co-host a 5K race. Seymour Pink was so excited about the offer to partner up with this fine organization. The 5K race POUNDING the Pavement for PINK was born! In our first year, both of these non-profit organizations realized a total of $24,000. These monies have helped both Seymour Pink and Seymour Tradition advance our missions.
In 20163, we once again co-hosted the 5th Annual 5K Pounding the Pavement for PINK 5K. The event has grown and this year 2500 people came together, including 110 survivors. ” The final figures are in for this year’s POUNDING the PAVEMENT for PINK 5K! SEYMOUR PINK will realize a profit of over $106,000. Thanks to your leadership as captains and your recruiting skills, Seymour Pink realized a profit of $105,000!! This was our biggest profit ever so I guess in the end our mantra was spot on, go big or go home and you all helped us to go Big!
This is a result of profits (once 5k related bills were paid) from race registration, sponsorships, and donations to Seymour Pink. We hope this COMMUNITY has any idea of the impact your support and donations will have on the men and women and their families victimized by this diagnosis ~ YOUR IMPACT is HUGE! THANK YOU!!!
